In a high-stakes move, multiple industry players are eyeing TikTok’s US operations as potential buyers. One bid is led by the OnlyFans founder while another comes from ad tech firm AppLovin, underscoring a competitive scramble as regulators search for a domestic owner amid shifting market dynamics.
Amazon made a last-minute bid to purchase TikTok amid talks of a U.S. ban on April 5 if owner ByteDance doesn't sell the app to a U.S. buyer. Other companies, including AppLovin, have also shown interest.
Other potential buyers include Amazon, which reportedly submitted a last-minute bid, and a consortium of Oracle, Blackstone.
It remains unclear if any US entities, including AppLovin, will gain control of TikTok’s non-Chinese operations.
Linguana has secured US$8.5 million in funding from investors like Oren Zeev, Zohar Gillon, Eyal Waldman, and 2LVC.
